photoBot is a party camera that really wants to take pictures for you. The camera quickly looks around a room to capture the action by sensing movement and changes in the environment. To emphasize fun rather than surveillance I used anthropomorphic features and made the photoBot glance around the room playfully. To reassure people about what is being captured the display invites them to preview their pictures as they are being taken, something that encouraged people to playfully interact and have their photo taken.
